A former employee where I work came in for an oil change and had a baby sheep with her!
She’s fostering it. I got to hold it.

Is that not a goat? It looks goaty.

The thumbnail looked a little goat-y (goatee!) to me too, but goats have those creepy rectangular pupils. I love goats, but their eyes freak me out a little.
When I opened the post and the pic grew, I thought it was a fawn. I might be really bad at identifying animals.

My reaction was “that is straight up a goat”.

*goat. Little ones are reffered to as kids, amusingly.

Awwww.
Not remotely as exotic, but I had my two dogs with me the last time I got an oil change, and the technician just went gaga over them. It was very funny. I mean, I have super cute dogs! But she was completely smitten. One of my dogs was totally side eyeing her, all, “Geez, lady, I’m not THAT interesting.”

It’s a sheep. It’s mother rejected it so my friend is fostering it.

It's a sheep.

But it's not.

Very cute. I am envious of you.

Its mother rejected it because it’s a goat. :)

What kind of sheep is it? I’m honestly interested it’s so goat looking.

Not sure. I just texted her to ask. So we’ll see.

She says it’s a hair sheep.

It’s a lamb.

While the term for this would be lamb, it’s still a breed of sheep. A hair-sheep. Not a goat.

having googled many of them do look very goaty. Interesting, I did not know that there were such goaty looking sheep (or at least what we are taught goats look like).

Oops. DUH! Lamb. Lol.
And yes. She just texted me that it’s a hair sheep. Thank you. :) people keep thinking it’s a goat.

This is a pet. Not dinner. Not that lamb isn't tasty. ;)

Is she wearing a little fleece coat !?!
I just died and *might* have peed myself a bit first.

Yes! Every time it baaed it made me laugh.

Hah, I wasn’t doubting you! :D I just thought my mistaxonomy was funny.
Is that sheep also wearing a tiny fleece? Because that's both adorable and a little bit weird.
![]() 01/16/2016 at 18:00 |

I scared some cats cracking up at that.
ETA my sister and I have a weird thing where we shut down pointless arguments by just saying the weirdest thing we can come up with. “MOM REJECTED YOU BECAUSE YOU’RE A GOAT!” is definitely going in my repertoire.

Baaaa!
![]() 01/16/2016 at 18:05 |

Yes. It had a tiny pink fleece on. Winter in Wisconsin is cold and it's a baaaaby.

It's a baaaaby.

You are so much stronger than me. I’d have lamb-napped that sweetie in a hot minute.
My poor impulse control is probably why we have 9 cats.

Cool. It's always nice spreading and sharing happiness.

I'm picturing tucking the jacket shut and just running. Running and running, armpit baaaaaaaing all the way.

Looks like a goat to me too... and I grew up on a sheep farm.

shrug. It’s a hair sheep.
